For Loeffler Construction, a prominent Twin Cities construction firm, its fifteenth anniversary was not just a celebration: it marked a milestone of maturity and a need to align its brand expression with the high-stakes, 'big-build' firm it had become. After 15 years of steady growth, Loeffler needed a modernized identity that honored its history while signaling a new chapter of expanded regional impact.
The Lake & Pine mandate was surgical: to evolve—not reinvent—the Loeffler brand to ensure it could command the room in a competitive market while solidifying the architecture of the expanding business.
Our discovery process revealed a gap between Loeffler’s internal culture and its external perception. While team members took pride in seeing Loeffler as a reliable construction company, its clients saw the company as something much rarer: a proactive partner who anticipates problems before they reach the job site. We moved beyond the traditional construction branding narrative to develop the positioning of Uncompromising Advocacy. This shift allowed us to craft a brand platform that speaks directly to community-driven organizations—clients who aren't just looking for a builder, but for a long-term partner they can trust with their mission.

Lake & Pine recognized that a radical departure from the existing mark would be a strategic mistake, risking the equity Loeffler had built since day one. Instead, we approached this construction rebrand like a building project: we kept the foundation but modernized the structure.
We retained the legacy maroon—a crucial link to their history—but expanded the palette and introduced a high-energy red accent to signal modernity and momentum without sacrificing sophistication.










This rebrand represents the completion of a multi-year strategic evolution. Having previously launched the brand for their sister company, Rockwise Strategies, Lake & Pine designed the new Loeffler identity to ensure a seamless visual connection between the parent company and its specialized sub-brands.
